This day five years ago I was nine months pregnant. Motherhood was about to begin for me. I had no clue what was around that corner. I blogged my first ever post. That was October 3rd, 2006. I started writing on this blog to share with my family and friends. A simple 'online diary'. Post a few pictures, post a few words of our new beautiful baby. The Besth Blog turned into something more than that. It became my sounding board, a place for me to write my frustrations, my fears, my happiness, my first unsettling days with a newborn. My first unsettling months with a baby. A place to seek advice from other Moms who have been there. Four years ago, we finally purchased our first house too. Our first bathroom renovation to follow. I shared my return to work after a one year maternity leave and how hard that transition was. I didn't know that personal blogs had that power. Three years ago I didn't know that I would suffer a painful miscarriage. It would not be right not to share this experience with you. You got me through this as well. Other stories have been told about my family, family members that I have loved and lost. New family members that were born into this world. Almost two years ago, I gave birth to a son. And my subsequent second return to the workforce as a working Mom.

Here we are today,

five years later. I have an almost five year old daughter and an almost two year old son. And I am still older than my husband {haha}.

Thank You for allowing me to indulge in my rather 'normal' life and following along after all these years.
