Abby's Last Day of Daycare.

Kissing her brother's hand.

I made it through Abby's last day of daycare last Friday. It was really hard walking Abby over to Little Bunnies one last time. I squeezed her hand extra tight. Had a huge lump in my throat.

Our shadows along the fence line. We always wave at our shadows and I tickle the tops of their heads.

Opening up a present for Irene.

Abby painted a watercolor color and I helped to embellish the frame.

Hard to photograph. Inside of her card which stated all the many thank-yous over the years {click to enlarge}.

One last wave through the window. I walked away and let my tears roll.

That evening we treated the kids to McDonald's and chased the bunnies around.

First day of school begins in a few days. Abby's ready to go - we hope she will thrive in her new classroom. 25 kids, majority boys! This past week she transitioned into her new after-school children centre and fit in so well. Abby was delighted to have two sisters who also attends this same facility. Would you believe she met these sisters on her first day at Little Bunnies in 2007. How the world works its magic, talk about a full circle story.  Kindergarten means having two awesome kindergarten teachers {one taught Nick way back when!} and a new Hello Kitty lunch kit. My Mom sewed a draw-string gym bag for her runners too. New beginnings for our girl which means a whole new world of learning, meeting new friends and growing up.
Good Luck Abby - we can't wait for you to start this new phase of your life. xoxo
