Garbage.

This sums up the month of June.
{Racoons ransacked our garage leaving a huge mess.}

Oh June. You have not been kind. Besides the dreadful weather {cold, rainy days}, this has proven to be a challenging month.
Debbie Downer Alert.
Hudson got really sick. I mean really sick like taking him to Children's Hospital sick because he threw up for almost 48 hours. We waited for 4 hours start to finish to see a doctor. Not so bad. Dr. Bishop was worth the wait. What an amazing doctor who confirmed that Hudson unfortunately caught that awful gastro-flu bug spreading around. He finally stopped throwing up in the hospital and then endured a few days of post-diarrhea. Hudson looked so sick and lost a couple of pounds. That was two weekends ago. His appetite is back with a vengeance and back to his old self. Thankfully!
Of course, I caught a lighter strain of Hudson' s virus and a cold. I fought through the weekend {Nick had to work too} and I was a mess. I missed my Granny's 90th birthday party with my entire family last Saturday. I couldn't help but have a sad pity party. I missed out on something very special that will never happen again.
On Monday, I LOST my four month old mobile. My fantastic Samsung. I have no clue where it may have gone. In a hazy stuffy head moment, I placed it down somewhere and it's gone. I have never been that careless.
Nick's travelling to Minnesota {Hello Fargo!}for work training during the same week we were supposed to be at Hornby Island. This year will be different as no cousins for Abby & Hudson to play with. We're planning to depart earlier and not stay for an entire week. This year will be a different experience, a quieter vacation. We are excited to spend time at the beach with the kids and let's hope the weather will be beautiful like it was last year.

Life has been exceptionally busy, major sleep deprivation, dealing with sick children, myself, the Vancouver riots, busy work life, commuting..it's all too much for me to bare. I was/am exhausted.
Rant over.

Yesterday, my helpline came. My Parents! They arrived at 12:30pm and stayed until 9:30pm. My Dad & I went for a walk together which was a rare occurrence. We got to chat and catch up which I really enjoyed. Abby & Hudson received so much attention and playtime from them. Nick & I were able to go out for dinner on a sunny patio. I really need that. We had all this free time that we ended up wandering the streets of Ladner wondering what to do. It was exactly what 'the doctor' ordered aka my Mom.

Here's to a better month of July. Please and thank you!

Let's just say goodbye to miserable June Debbie Downer, cause Dick Downer and his wife aren't that happy either! All said and done, you really have had a bad month!!!
Dad and I had such a terrific time at your place. Your children are a pure delight. Bathing Hudson while Papa made up songs at Abby's request on the Uke, what a gas! So glad you got to go out and remind yourselves that life can be good too! Love you lots and lots. xoxoxoxo
