A birthday care package from my dear friend Kat. She lives in Ontario and has two pretty girls. One named Abigail. I think we were destined to be forever friends even though we haven't seen each other in years.
My parents arrive with a cake in hand. Would you believe my Dad individually popped in the sprinkles - talk about personalizing it! They took me out for a lengthy lunch {You see, I was a free woman for the day. No kids, no work!} at a nearby restaurant. Dad was getting a bit anxious that we were taking up a table for so long. We chatted for well into two hours +! I didn't mind a bit that we sat inside on a sunny day... how often do I have this one-on-one time with my parents. Never.
My beautiful Mom who turned 64 the very next day! I bought her this spring scarf. So pretty on her!
Came home and took one last photo of the cake before it was devoured.
Ok, one more picture. Nick wanted 38 candles on the cake...no way.
I told my family that I'd like to just eat cake for dinner. Abby was quite happy with my decision. She has a sweet tooth like her Mommy.
Don't worry, Hudson ate a sensible meal. Cake for dessert.
